Manila-Based Fellows

MANILA-BASED FELLOWS

Location: Manila/ Virtual or hybrid (90% work-from-home with once a week or every other week f2f in BGC)

Description: FoodFutureCo is offering a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to work closely with our Manila team and core team, gaining hands-on exposure to accelerator and fund operations, food system design, social entrepreneurship, industry leaders, and more. The Fellows will be expected to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week for a 3-month commitment, supporting FoodFutureCo's programming goals and operations, including organizing and developing program materials, supporting communications and marketing efforts, coordinating with the community, and providing support to the Manila team.

The Fellows will play an integral role in managing and growing the accelerator program while also providing support to the Manila team in managing the company's programs and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule calendar appointments using tools such as Google Calendar and Calendly.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, including email and other forms of communication.
  • Assist the core team in executing its business development strategy, building community, and managing funds.
  • Collaborate in planning and coordinating the accelerator program and its events.
  • Track expenditures and transactions to support budget management.
  • Plan and execute meetings and events, maintain agendas, and take notes.
  • Assist in making travel arrangements and planning itineraries.
  • Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations, including video conferencing and presentations.
  • Perform office administrative duties.
  • Support the Managing Partner and the Family Office with other tasks as needed.
  • Experience and Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in program/project/event coordination or a related position.
  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures.
  • Enthusiasm for event production and coordination.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude.
  • Able to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personable with good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and efficient.

  • Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities:

  • Operations and Management:
  • Provide assistance to the Managing Partner and management team, and support the Manila team in performing tasks of a personal/executive assistant.
  • Coordinate and schedule calendar appointments using tools such as Google Calendar and Calendly.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, including email and other forms of communication.
  • Track expenditures and transactions to support budget management.
  • Plan and execute meetings and events, maintain agendas, and take notes.
  • Screen and respond to email and other forms of communication.
  • Assist in making travel arrangements and planning itineraries.
  • Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations, including video conferencing and presentations.
  • Perform office administrative duties.
  • Support the Managing Partner and the Family Office with other tasks as needed.

Program Management: Assist in managing various aspects of the accelerator program. This includes organizing events, coordinating with mentors and investors, and communicating with program participants.

Networking:

  • Help build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, including investors, mentors, and industry experts. This involves assisting the program coordinator in networking with relevant contacts, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the industry, and supporting the core team on its Business Development strategy execution, Community Building, and Funds work.

  • Collaborate with other team members in planning and coordinating the accelerator program and its events.

Research: Conduct research on market opportunities, and potential investment targets. This involves conducting market research and assisting the team in identifying potential investment opportunities.

Ideal skills:

  • Desire to learn about the Good Food Movement, food and ag tech, start-up businesses, fund models, and social entrepreneurship
  • Strong organizational and research skills - desire to build and improve internal systems
  • Entrepreneurial - ability to work autonomously and be resourceful but know when to ask for support
  • Adaptable - ability to take unexpected situations as they come, think on their feet

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Food Studies, Nutrition, or other relevant degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
