Location: New York, New York/ Virtual

Description: FoodFutureCo is offering a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to work closely with our core team, EIR and mentor community to get hands-on exposure to accelerator and fund operations, food system design, social entrepreneurship, key industry leaders, and much more. The Fellow will be expected to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week with a 6-month commitment towards supporting FoodFutureCo’s programming goals and FoodFuture Fund, including but not limited to: the organization and development of program materials, support communications and marketing efforts, community coordination and outreach, support to funds/finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage our community of nearly 4,000 advisors, mentors, influencers, investors, media and entrepreneurs through outreach efforts
  • Conduct outreach to investors, potential companies, and partners using CRM, email, phone, and attending in-person events
  • Increase investor pipeline through lead generation and cultivation, including research, outreach, and event management
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investments
  • Develop and disseminate marketing materials to FoodFuture’s network
  • Build out a resource database to support our core program assets
  • Identify new recruitment pipelines
  • Provide operations support including entering data into spreadsheets, researching companies, scheduling, event, and meeting planning, organizing file structure, and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Support FoodFutureCo’s social media reach, impact and engagement
  • Support media and PR efforts to increase visibility for FoodFutureCo and its portfolio companies

Ideal skills:

  • Desire to learn about the Good Food Movement, food and ag tech, start-up businesses, fund models, and social entrepreneurship
  • Strong organizational and research skills - desire to build and improve internal systems
  • Entrepreneurial - ability to work autonomously and be resourceful but know when to ask for support
  • Adaptable - ability to take unexpected situations as they come, think on their feet

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Food Studies, Nutrition, or other relevant degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
